Boarding Dogs
At The Downtown Paw, every boarding stay is built around our daycare environment. Because boarding dogs spend their days playing and socializing in group daycare, we require all boarding pups to be active daycare clients who have already completed their temperament test and feel comfortable in our space. This ensures a safe, predictable, and low‑stress experience for every dog in our care.
Our small team knows each daycare dog well—their personalities, play styles, and comfort levels—allowing us to create a calm, stable environment during both daycare and overnight stays. Introducing a new or unfamiliar dog directly into boarding without that gradual daycare transition can be overwhelming for them and disruptive to the group.
This policy helps us maintain the safety, comfort, and well‑being of all pups who stay with us.

Our daycare facility is designed to provide a safe and fun environment for dogs to play, socialize, vacation, and exercise. All our boarding dogs will be in daycare during the day and will need to pass a temperament test before staying with us. Dogs have the option to sleep in kennels or sleep kennel free.

Our cat boarding is a unique experience for your feline friends. Cats each have their own Catio (cat condo) with up to 30 square feet of play and enrichment space, as well as individual free play.
